Ce Lundi 5 Mai 2008, le célèbre développeur Open-Source Richard Stallman fondateur de la Free Software Foundation est venu faire une conférence à l'école d'ingénieur polytechnique de l'université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis : Polytech'Nice-Sophia.

Le thème de la conférence était : Ethique et pratique du logiciel libre.

Une solution à base de BROUTING (avec la solution décrite ici : http://ip6.fr/free-broute/) est finalement tombée pour les routeurs WRT54Gx avec DD-WRTv23SP2.

Depuis peu, un pont IPv6 est disponible pour tous les clients dégroupés ADSL de Free.

En mode Freebox Routeur, l'attribution d'une adresse IP est automatique grace a un protocole Automatique.

L'adresse est formée comme : 2a01:5d8:<adresse IPv4>::/64.

Le routeur est 2a01:5d8:<adresse IPv4>::1. Bien qu'en interne ils utilisent le principe 6to4rd via un bout de tunnel d'adresse ::192.88.99.100, il est plus complexe de router les paquets IPv6 dans un sous-réseau internet derrière un routeur du style DD-WRT.

With 2Go of DDR2 Ram, the performances are exceptionnal, installing Windows Server 2003 or Ubuntu Feisty Fawn was easy and really quick !

With their new iPod series, Apple introduced a new Hash mechanism on the files database in the iPod : the tunesDB file.

After 36Hours of hacking, a group of developers found a way to generate the same Hash as generated by iTunes on windows or Mac Os X.

It seems quite strange to have such simple algorithm based on a kind of weak algorithm (SHA-1). The way the hash is done is also kind of dirty !

I'm actually in a small company for my second year internship, and I must port linux on a arm946es based board. The ARM codebase works well on the latest linux kernel version but this chip has no MMU !

The uClinux project (http://www.uclinux.org) started a port of Linux 2.0, 2.4 and recently 2.6 for the NOMMU and now MMU-able devices. The core of the linux official git tree contains patches for nommu support but not all the arch has a complete and working nommu support in the latest tree !
